Key features and capabilities
Sitemap generation
- 11 sitemap types — products, categories, CMS pages, manufacturers, suppliers, meta pages, product images, and 4 supported blog modules: SmartBlog, PH SimpleBlog, ETS Blog, Functional Blog
- Image sitemaps — separate sitemaps with the full collection of product images, including attribute variant images
- Products with attribute combinations — generation of separate URLs for each product combination (optional)
- GZ compression — automatic compression of sitemap files to .xml.gz format, reducing size by 80–90%
- Chunking — automatic splitting of large sitemaps into files of 10,000 URLs each (800 with attributes) with a sitemap index
- Dry-run — preview of the generation result without creating files (estimate of the number of URLs and files)
- XML validation — built-in validator checking the compliance of generated files with the XML sitemap schema
Multilang and hreflang
- Hreflang with x-default — automatic alternate language tags with x-default support for multilingual stores
- Separate sitemaps per language — each store+language combination generates a separate sitemap file
- Language variants of URLs — full support for alternative URLs per language within a single sitemap entry
Quality filtering and exclusions
- Filtering non-indexable items — skipping products marked as "not for indexing", hidden, and redirected
- Exclusions per ID — manual exclusion of specific products, categories, CMS pages, manufacturers, and suppliers by ID
- URL patterns — exclusion of URLs matching regex patterns (e.g. /test/*, /admin/*)
- Excluding meta pages — selective skipping of chosen meta page types (homepage, categories, manufacturers, etc.)
- Signature-based deduplication — automatic detection and elimination of duplicate URLs based on content signatures
- Filtering statistics — detailed report on how many items were filtered out and why
Smart Lastmod — modification tracking
- Change tracking via hooks — 20 database hooks monitor the addition, editing, and deletion of products, categories, CMS pages, manufacturers, and suppliers
- Precise modification dates — separate database table with the exact timestamp of the last change for each entity
- Two lastmod modes — "accurate only" mode (accurate_only) or "with fallback" mode (legacy_fallback — uses date_upd when tracking is unavailable)
- Per-shop tracking — separate modification tracking for each store in multistore
Google Search Console integration
- OAuth 2.0 authorization — secure authorization with Google with automatic token refresh
- Automatic sitemap submission — after generation, sitemaps are automatically submitted to Search Console
- Property mapping — assignment of each store to the appropriate service in Google Search Console
- Connection status — visual information about the authorization status and the last sitemap submission
IndexNow protocol
- Instant notification — notifying search engines (Bing, Yandex, Naver) about new and changed URLs in real time
- URL queue — queue system with automatic batch flush to the IndexNow API
- Auto-generated key — cryptographically secure key with automatic synchronization of the verification file
- Retry logic — mechanism for retrying failed submissions with status and error tracking
robots.txt management
- Three operating modes — disabled, manual (custom path), or automatic (hook on saving robots.txt in PrestaShop)
- Automatic Sitemap entries — adding Sitemap directives to robots.txt with BEGIN/END block marking
- Clean removal — upon uninstall, the module automatically removes its block from robots.txt
Asynchronous generation and CRON
- CRON generation — endpoint with a security token to trigger generation from the server schedule
- Pause and resume — ability to pause and resume long-running generation without losing progress
- Generation logs — full operation history with the number of files, validation status, size, and duration
- Selective generation — ability to generate sitemaps only for selected stores, languages, or entity types
