Key module features

• Fixed amount or percentage surcharge: increase the carrier rate from PrestaShop ranges for postal codes covered by the rule.
• Special price and zero rate: replace the price from the ranges with the specified amount or set this part of the delivery cost to zero.
• Hide carrier: remove the matching delivery option in PrestaShop 8 and 9.
• Rules for a selected country: each code list is assigned to a specific country, so the same code in another country does not trigger this rule.
• Selected carrier or all carriers: a separate pricing policy for a specific service or one shared rule. The price change applies to carriers priced based on PrestaShop ranges.
• Numeric and alphanumeric codes: you can enter codes such as 12-345 or SW1A 1AA; during matching, the module ignores spaces and hyphens and normalizes letter case.
• Code patterns: the % character replaces one letter or digit, and * at the end covers any code ending.
• Numeric ranges: the notation 11000:12000 covers numeric codes from 11000 to 12000, inclusive.
• Product value thresholds: the lower and upper limits for applying the rule refer to the gross product value before cart rule discounts, in the store's default currency. Entering zero disables a given limit.
• Priorities: the first matching active rule is applied, starting from the lowest priority number. Surcharges from multiple rules are not combined.
• Net or gross amounts: for a fixed surcharge and a special price, you can specify whether the entered amount includes tax.
• CSV and TXT import: separate files for individual codes and ranges; import appends entries to the list and removes duplicates. The form provides sample files for download.
• Support for large lists: up to 100,000 items per code list and up to 100,000 ranges in a rule. The limit for a single file is 5 MiB, and the file may contain no more than 100,000 non-empty lines.
• Rule management: adding, editing, filtering, enabling and disabling, as well as bulk deletion or changing the activity of selected items.
• Back office tester: check matching for code, country, region, carrier, product value, and weight, and compare the price from ranges before and after the rule when the tax calculation method allows such a preview.
• Customer messages: information next to the carrier, above the delivery list, or complete disabling of messages. For standard texts, you can enable or hide the surcharge, percentage, or special price value.
• Custom texts in store languages: the rule label can explain to the customer the reason for a different price, for example delivery to a specified remote area.
• Multistore: a rule for one store or shared for all; message settings can be saved for a store, a store group, or all stores, according to employee permissions.
• Link with carrier editing: when standard carrier editing in PrestaShop changes its identifier, the module updates the assignment of existing rules.

How does the module change the delivery price?

The calculation is based on the carrier rate set in PrestaShop according to the weight or price range. The rule changes this rate; the store still applies its own tax rules, currency conversion, and additional fees. The examples below refer to a base price of PLN 10 net, without handling fees and without shipping surcharges assigned to products.

Important: free delivery mode sets the price from the carrier ranges to zero. It does not remove the handling fee or additional shipping costs assigned to products. Likewise, the special price replaces the rate from the ranges, not all components of the final delivery cost.

How to define delivery areas by postal codes?

• Single code: 12-345 is matched the same as 12345.
• Pattern with a specific length: 12%%% covers five-character codes starting with 12; each % character means one letter or digit.
• Common code prefix: SW1A* matches codes starting with SW1A, regardless of the length of the remaining part.
• Numeric range: 11000:12000 covers the indicated range of numeric codes. Ranges are not used to compare codes containing letters.

You define areas using your own code lists or data provided by the logistics operator. The module does not independently recognize islands, city centers, or distance from the warehouse; the area name results from the rule you create.

Use cases and benefits for the store

• Surcharges for remote areas and islands: reflect the carrier surcharge based on its code list, without changing the rate for other addresses.
• Special local delivery price: reduce the rate for selected codes by setting a special price.
• Surcharge up to a specific product value: limit the rule with an upper threshold, after which this rule no longer applies. This does not automatically mean setting the entire delivery to zero.
• Restriction of service for selected areas: hide an unavailable service for matching codes in PrestaShop 8 and 9.
• Shared configuration for multiple stores: apply one rule in multistore or prepare separate rules for individual stores.
• Explain the price to the customer: a custom message next to delivery describes the reason for the surcharge or the use of a special price.
• Edit the area in one rule: change the code list, amount, or product value threshold without creating a separate carrier for each code.

Configuration in the administration panel

1. In the Rules tab, add an item, give it a name, select the country and carrier, and the store scope if you use multistore.
2. Enter codes, patterns, or ranges, or attach a CSV or TXT file. Imported entries will supplement the lists in the form.
3. Select the effect, amount or percentage, priority, and optional product value thresholds. For amounts, specify whether they include tax.
4. If needed, enter the text for the customer in the store languages, then save the rule.
5. In the Tester, check matching for the selected address and parameters. In Settings, choose the message location and the way values are displayed. The Help tab explains the rules and list formats.

Scope of operation and requirements

Module version: 2.0.0. The module is intended for PrestaShop 1.7, 8, and 9. Hiding the carrier requires PrestaShop 8 or newer. The interface is available in Polish and English, and custom texts for the customer can be entered in the store languages.

Pricing rules apply to carriers using PrestaShop price or weight ranges. They do not change the price of a carrier marked as free or a price calculated by a courier module independently of those ranges. A hide rule covering all carriers may also affect such services in PrestaShop 8 and 9.

Native PrestaShop free delivery thresholds and coupons may set the option price to zero without applying the surcharge from the pricing rule. Therefore, the final price also depends on the carrier configuration and cart rules.

The Tester compares the price from ranges, not the full cost of an actual order with all product add-ons. If the store calculates delivery tax according to the average VAT of the products in the cart, the Tester shows the rule match and indicates that the final amount requires a real cart with products.

Messages use the carrier selection area in the PrestaShop checkout process. The way they are embedded depends on the theme structure; the module supports the elements used by Classic and Hummingbird. With a different checkout process, its support for this area and the delivery calculation mechanisms matters.
